Feeling proud that I passed over a 1:48 scale kit of a Chinook helicopter for £15 at the booter this morning, given I haven't even decided upon a scale for Vietnam. I have some 20mm Airfix figures, and a 1/72 Huey. WILLPOWER

Does anyone know of a good supplier of 28mm miniatures that look like these fine folk from Merna, Kansas in 1886?

Yeah, this looks alright. Not going with the "HOTEL" sign though, this will either be a high end boardinghouse (refs required) or a 50cent lodging house for drifters. On to weathering and basing.

They say Rome wasn't built in a day, but a Wild West Hotel wasn't built in a week....it's a great kit design though, all the parts fit flush, unlike the saloon of posts past. From AQS Design on eBay.

Is it weird for me to prefer knocking up terrain, buildings and scenery, to actually painting my backlog of figures? Maybe I was a set designer jn a previous life....

I thought 7thSon off of Plastic Crack was a bit hyperbolic about his MDF trebuchet. This Wild West hotel kit is on another level of insanity.

I am still 50/50 whether to go 28mm or 10mm for entry into Medieval stuff. Love the look of
#WargamesAtlantic
and
#Victrix
knights, serjants and so on as well as
#Footsore
Welsh champions, however looking at the
#Midgard
website the small stuff looks decent too.

who knows.... The scratch I want to itch is to be able make a 3D print, for 28mm scale (1/48-1/56) of this character. What would I need to do to make this happen? Software, printer, accessories? Thank for your attention to this matter.

Very moving visit to Thiaroye today. This is the site where Senegalese soldiers just returned from having participated in the Liberation of France were massacred by the French. Excavations are ongoing to find more bodies in the mass graves. Recent estimates by scholars put death toll at 300-400.

With great trepidation. That dang saloon is back. Had to saw off loads of tabs to put it together but it will work, because the Old West was dusty and dirty. There will be LED lighting inside. On to the hotel tomorrow, wish me luck.
