This approximately 15m-long fossil tree trunk from the Angeac-Charente bonebed of Early Cretaceous France is insane.

Museums matter, folks! Really thrilled to have been featured in a recent newsletter from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History's education department. They really fostered my love for science and I wouldn't be here without them :)

I think it's important to continuously reiterate that federal science funding grants in the US (and elsewhere) are made because the government, with the input of panels of independent experts, have concluded that the work being done is IN THE INTEREST OF THE NATION.

Scientists should say what is good science, not politicians. There's no way this doesn't end in a brain drain. Scientists will go where they can do legitimate research, not propaganda.

Federal grants are incredibly difficult to get because these tax-payer funded programs support the best of the best that US science has to offer (like NASA). Freezing funds will not only harm individuals & research projects, it will actively undercut American competitiveness on a global scaleβ¦

It is not too late to act on climate change because climate change is not pass/fail. Every faction of a degree matters and is worth fighting for. That's not propaganda or wishful thinking. It's evidence-based. Suggesting otherwise is as unscientific as climate denial, and just as damaging.
