With the removal of the ICE “sensitive locations” memo, the landscape for houses of worship considering sanctuary has changed considerably overnight. With that in mind, here is an FAQ that can help answer basic questions.

Sanctuary is under attack, but just because it is embattled doesn’t mean that its defeat is imminent or that it has lost its incredible spiritual and practical power… If we believe that God is revealed in “the least of these” then the least we can do is offer protection from cruelty.

Remember, today especially, that MLK said America suffers not just from "the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people." Keep the faith. Keep up the fight.
