Day 12. Camino Portugues from Padron to Santiago de Compostela - the end of a great 12 days walking through Portugal & Spain. Stayed in some amazing places & the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela is awesome (nearly as good as York Minster) 😉 I am I don't have more walking tomorrow

Day 11 on the Camino Portugues from Caldas de Reis to Padron. A fairly simple if long stage, with temperatures for most of the morning a baltic 20 degrees, prompting some pilgrims get out their jackets. One day left & it's the longest with second most amount of climb.

Day 10 of the Camino Portugues completed from Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis where we were pleased to see it had pool, this one fed with by a hot spring. A long walk, but fairly easy with only a minor hill to get over. Less than 50km to go.

Day 9 of the Camino Portugues (now in Spain) from Arcade to Pontevedra. An early hill in humid conditions made the first part of the walk tricky, but then followed any easy & short stage into Pontevedra. Only 3 days to go, but longer walks ahead.

Day 8. Camino Portugues (now in Spain) A long walk today with a couple of hills to get over, one of which kept producing more & more peaks. Plenty of cafes on route & we stopped at a couple. Most of the walk in villages and towns again today but some woodland tracks. Less than 100km to go.

Day 7, Camino Portugues (now in Spain) from Tui to Porrino. An easier day (ahead of a tougher day tomorrow) a mix of woodland walks & roadside pavements on a mainly flat route. It was a 2 cafe day with the highlight the one a a local football ground.

Day 6. Camino Portugues from Cossourado to Tui. A much easier walk today & in slightly lower temperatures. We are at the half way stage & crossed into Spain to stay overnight in Tui. You could tell we had arrived in Spain as the first bar we saw, an Irish one.

Day 5. Camino Portugues from Ponte de Lima to Cossourado. The hardest day so far with the biggest climb & longest distance in heat as well. That said it was a 3 cafe day & the accommodation has a very welcome pool & jacuzzi.

Day 4 of the Camino Portugues. Balugaes to Ponte de Lima. The landscape is getting more hilly, but the temperature hasn't noticeably dropped. Luckily the route didn't include any significant hills & has been well marked & straight forward so far. Seen the first Back Kites & White Storks of the trip.
