I harvested 20lbs of seedless wild grapes🍇 time to make jelly. I make it with no sugar and no pectin by boiling down the juice. I only have to pay for canning lids. I use recycled jars.

Yesterday I got 3 cavities filled at the dentist. Dental anesthetic is kinda fun. Like an excuse to be extra weird around my family. They were less appreciative, however.

Most people like to work out listening to music. I’m that nerd who likes to work out and listen to books on tape 🤓

My dad keeps saying the pandemic is over but he still wants to isolate with Marisa Tomei. It’s really embarrassing.

I dont know which is worse living in a Rural area... The wildlife in my yard or the people at Walmart. Both are pretty wild.

I’m making daylily flower butter. Tastes just like pumpkin butter. I do it every year. They aren’t related to regular lilies and the petals are edible. It is a really popular food, in other parts of the world.

Fully grown Black Bear in the yard today. I did not get pictures. I was too busy getting away. Trying to do so calmly…This was the biggest bear I’ve seen so far, in our area. Was 10 ft from me, when I saw it.

Since December 2024, I have lost 50lbs…in just under 8 months….a low carb lifestyle is life-changing. I just fit into a shirt, that I bought for my son to grow into. He told me to keep it because it “looks better on you anyway.” He paused, and then said: “mommy I am so proud of you. I love you.”

So the tooth fairy “forgot to show up” last night and I’m just hearing about it this morning. Whoops.😬

I made sugar free(stevia) three layer bars from Allrecipes site. I added a few extra things. It was two layers but I put a third layer granola bar crust. For kids lunches. I may have to freeze them so they don’t disappear too fast from my house…

Lol my kid mispronounced “intermittent fasting” as “intermystic fatting” and I can’t stop laughing.

I got some new books. Some of them I’ve read before. Books are expensive now. It’s been a while. Usually I just read E books. It’s nice to have real ones again… 📚

I used to raise quail for eggs and we kept outdoor pet rabbits, for manure to put on the garden. We have an orchard so I do lots of cannning. Barter is big with homesteads. I get lots of stuff trading jam and such. Maybe I can barter jam and fruit for 4 quail hens.

I’m making savoury dandelion fritters and pancakes with relish for kids. The recipe’s on Allrecipes: “Dandilion Fritters” I added garlic and Tuscan herbs and fried it in coconut oil. Served with homemade relish.

I got a spider bite; hope it wasn’t another widow bite. It hurts like hell and I feel really ill. Used the Epi pen. It was when I was clearing a wood pile, or when sleeping. Hoping it was from outside, lol.
