The protest yesterday in Phoenix at the state capitol was amazing. Haven't found any estimates on attendance, but there were a lot of people there. We were definitely seen & heard. Met with a lot of great people, including the lady with the sign and a Trump doll being dragged out of the Whitehouse!

TRUMP WANTS TO BE DICTATOR. He is doing everything he can to achieve that. Protests MUST be peaceful -- no violence, vandalism, or fights. Don't give him an excuse to declare martial law, because at the first opportunity, he will do exactly that. Count on it. Do everything you can to keep the peace.

Take aways for other newbie protest organizers: 1) Weekday protests less attended than weekends; 2) Protest time no more than 2 hrs; 3) Send messages to attendees at least 3 days in advance; 4) Short, single topic messages using bullet points for info; 5) Clear instructions on meet up location.

On March 15th, there is a "Postcards to Trump" worldwide event. People are asked to mail a postcard to Trump at the White House (1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC, 20950), expressing their feelings about him. This is posted on the 50501 website. An easy way to share a huge number of voices.

I implore every federal employee being told to destroy records, whether paper or digital, to refuse if possible or make copies and safely store them. Destruction of these records is an outrageous attempt to delete our history. PLEASE DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO PROTECT RECORDS!!

When people glare at my flags, I smile & wave. When they ask me what a flag us or why I'm flying the US flag upside down, I explain it. I don't argue & I'm very clear. The U.S. is in severe distress & I believe we have to stop Trump NOW, giving reasons & examples. Education, not hostility.

Ok, I post after our protests so you all hear that even though today there were only three of us geezers, we got honks & cheers from cars; more than a dozen vets and VA staff came to thank us for our support. One father parked across the street and came over with his young daughter to thank us.

We have been here at Hayden VA Medical Center for several hours -- and we are once again by ourselves! C'mon, Phoenix people -- come and join us protesting in front of the Med Center on 7th Street, across the street from Jack in the Box! LET'S MULTIPLY THE VOICES SO WE CAN BE HEARD LOUD & CLEAR!!
