VEPs Expanded to Googlers in YouTube ✊ Just one day after Amazon announced layoffs for 14,000 of its employees, Alphabet made it clear that mandatory layoffs are not inevitable in the tech industry.

TLDR: tech workers, get organized! The Alphabet Workers Union has issued a statement in response to Amazon’s announcement that it will lay off 14,000 corporate workers: “Now is the time for us to stand together collectively, so we have power and a real voice in our industry.”
