As someone who has next to no knowledge of Magic The Gathering, but was always interested in the cards and lore, the 1st issue of the new series Untold Stories: Elspeth really impressed me. Picked it up on a whim and was wowed by the comic. Highly recommended.

Very happy to have High Potential back for season 2, however I hope they don’t carry the Game Master plot line to long. One of my favorite parts of the show was the murder of the week format.

Looking for something different? Then try Good As Dead #1 by the Laphams & Dee Cunniffe from Skybound / Image Comics. This comic really wowed me. Also note the format is square bound which makes for an extra long read.

Read BSTTLE BEAST #3 from Skybound / Image Comics. Nobody illustrates absolute carnage much like Ryan Ottley, but there’s also these quiet scenes that he just nails too. Another solid read.

Read I HATE FAIRYLAND #43 from Image Comics. Just started reading this title, didn’t realize what I was missing out on. This comic goes hard, so much fun i’m really enjoying it.

Read Absolute Superman #10 “The Beast in the Mine” from DC Comics. The swerve in this issue has me wanting to go back and reread the previous issues that led up to this. Really interested in were this is going.

Read Absolute Green Lantern #5 “With Fear” from DC Comics. This title has been challenging for me of all the Absolute books. The storytelling and art haven’t clicked for me. However the final page of this issue had me wondering what happens next. The cliffhanger worked, I’ll be back next month.

Read David Marquez’s THE UNCHOSEN #1 from Image Comics. Solid introductory first issue. Nice “Come with me if you want to live” vibe. Absolutely loved a panel where a character was pushing the walls a part. Great storytelling, would recommend.

I said goddamn SouthPark went HARD. Incredible first episode, really W O W’d me.
