I’d say that UNPUB 2025 was a success! Wonderful to see all these familiar faces and always great to meet new people too. Play testing went extremely well.

Excited! I’ll have a bunch of games and 3 playtest tables this weekend. Tonight from 7:30-9:30, Saturday from 12:30-2:30, and Sunday from 10-noon. Come swing by!

I’ve been working on this same card game so much it ran me down and now I have a cold. Ughhh. Why won’t anything click?! 😭 I’m about to trash this thing.

So last week I received the prototype print for a new board game I’m making. I was really excited for it but after only 10 plays the cards look chipped and very worn down due to the black boarders (see photo). I’m exploring options for white borders and curious whatever everyone thinks. #gamedesign

Every time I play test my new game the “what if…” fallacy always makes me rethink everything. From push your luck to trick taking to climbing mechanics to cooperative. Make it stop 😅

When buying a board game that has a time element, do you prefer a timer to be included or would you be fine with no timer and rules text that says “set a timer for 5 minutes” considering most people have phones or timers at home? #boardgamedesign

Wanted to get some prototypes printed for my #boardgame so I sent them in to a company I’ve used before. I downloaded their templates like normal and spent hours perfecting the design. However they just emailed me saying I didn’t use their templates and need to resubmit everything🙃 #gamedesigner
