I built a free WooCommerce plugin about 10y ago. I stopped updating it 7y ago. I opened its page yesterday to find out that 50k sites are actively using it! I am not sure how, it probably doesn’t work, but they have it active! It even has several daily downloads! I guess it’s time to update it.
