Sales at Geely Auto reveal an interesting shift 📊 On a trailing 12 month basis, total sales have been flat at around 3 million vehicles for the past six months. At the same time, BEV share has declined while PHEVs gained ground. Non electrified vehicles slipped slightly.

🚀 Zeekr is one of the Chinese brands that performed very well in Q1 2026. 📈 Global sales grew by 86% year over year. 🏆 Best Q1 ever and the third-best quarter overall.

🌍 In Q1, Geely Auto reached a new record export share of 28.6% (sales outside China). 📈 Exports grew by 125% year over year to over 200k vehicles. 📉 Meanwhile, sales inside China shrank by 17.5% during the quarter.

🇬🇧 Turns out BYD sold 14,843 cars in the UK in March, of which 7,487 were fully electric. That’s a huge number and by far the highest monthly sales ever for any single region. In fact, it’s almost as much as the combined total of 17 European countries in February. March not included; update coming.

📉 Q1 Update on Volvo Sales: January and February have been some of the weakest months in the past few years. I wonder what happened? (maybe there were model refreshes or something else to explain this?) In Q1, 36,348 new BEVs were sold, representing a 23.7% share.

📈 @BYD_Europe has now surpassed a run rate of 200k vehicles registered per year. That equates to roughly a 1.5% market share in Europe, with strong growth momentum.
