Been playing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater this week, and I love it so much. It feels like the same game I played when I was younger but so lovingly updated. Just stopped playing after beating The Fear and I can't wait for my next session. MGS will always be one of my favourite series.

Listening to the K-Pop Demon Hunters OST while out and about this morning, and its genuinely an awesome soundtrack that stands on its own two feet independent of the movie. Hits right in so many ways.

Been ill in bed today and couldn't sleep, so I watched K-Pop Demon Hunters. Loved it, its a blend of some of my favourite things - demons, singing idols, nicely animated combat scenes. Will definitely watch again and I'm looking forward to the sequel!

Been playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and its definitely been a mixed experience for me. Love the combat and the ability system, and the plot is gripping when it's moving. But as soon as I'm not actively pushing forwards with the plot, I don't really feel invested in the world beyond the party.

Had a really nice father's day yesterday. Had a lie in, spent time with the kids, spent some time with my parents and went out for a meal. Got some Final Fantasy MTG cards as a gift!

Finished Persona 3 Reload's Episode Aigis last night. I never beat The Answer on PS2 as I didn't like how hyper focused it was on combat. It's still the same in Reload, but at least the combat is a bit better in the remake. But The Answer is still a needlessly long slog 👎

Sooo, I was talking to my wife and she had an idea, that potentially I could try and set up a social club of sorts like a book club, except for video games. So everyone in the group plays the same game over a given period and then can share and discuss it. Especially for introverted gamers like me.

Doing a chronological playthrough of all the games in the Castlevania collections for PS4/5 and I played Haunted Castle Revisited for the first time today - a remake of the retro Arcade game that never released outside of Japan before. It's a lot of fun and the updated visuals are really great!

Just finished Death Stranding Director's Cut, getting ready for the sequel this year. Still struggled to really know if I enjoyed the gameplay (it's very repetitive), but the storytelling still has me hooked in the later chapters. Hoping DS2 mixes things up and is something very special.

What's a game you feel only you have played? For me, it's definitely Guardian's Crusade. Felt like what could be a child's first foray into JRPGs, and had a simple charm to it. I beat it multiple times and wish it could be re-released sometime.

Just finished watching Devil May Cry on Netflix! It's definitely very much a brand new universe with its own history and version of events, but I really enjoyed it. Action is fun, the characters are great and it had a satisfying first arc to follow on from.

A little underwhelmed by the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. It looks like a lovely system, and I'm sure I'll get one as an upgrade to the Switch in time, but there was nothing there that really sold the system to me. Kept waiting for that big surprise that never really came.

I did it! Got the Platinum for FFVII Rebirth! That rounds off the whole FF7 saga with a full set of trophies now :D

I'm still alive! I haven't posted in ages. Lately I've been hyper focused on trying to get the Platinum trophy for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and also got back into collecting Final Fantasy trading cards!

As a Babymetal fan, it's hard to find music remotely similar to theirs that I enjoy. Sure, there are other bands, but usually I find they come up short in comparison. Recently been enjoying a new band called Phantom Siita, who are also Japanese but have more of a pop/horror theme going on!

It's taken me about six months, but I replayed the whole Kingdom Hearts series and got every single Platinum trophy! (Plus the trophies for KH3 Re:Mind). It's been hard work, but this might just be the first series that I have every single trophy for :D

Reached Chapter 3 in Remake today, not bad for my first session. Dreading having to replay huge chunks of the game later for 100% though 😅 Remake still looks and feels great, though.

Been getting loads of followers this week and I have no idea why - but hello all! I'm not on here as much as I mean to be, but I'm very much trying to be active. I'm mostly into video games - been doing a complete trophy run of Kingdom Hearts, and just started a new game of Bloodstained: RotN :D

Been working hard on the Kingdom Hearts games recently, and yesterday, I was proud to actually unlock the final trophy of Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind, getting an A Rank using Pro Codes! It is possibly the hardest trophy of the series and completes my trophy collection of KH1 - KH3.

After having earned the Platinum trophies for the whole KH saga up to Kingdom Hearts III, I finally beat all of the DLC episodes last night! Yozora was probably one of the hardest bosses in the series, so I'm happy to have finally beaten that and scene every little scrap of story!

Aladdin or Mulan, I can't decide. Love both films for their soundtracks, characters and storylines. I hope my kids learn to love both movies too 😅

I'm aware I haven't posted in months - I really seem to have drifted away from social media and find it hard to pull myself back. Can't say I'm really better (or worse) for it. Since I last posted, I got the Platinum in FF7, and also Platinumed FIVE Kingdom Hearts games (now working on KH3).

Watched the live action Ace Attorney movie last night! It's full on anime dramatics except with real people, so comes off a bit silly in places - but it also feels like a lovingly made, accurate adaptation of the original game for the most part. Worth a watch if you're a fan.

Going for the Platinum in Final Fantasy VII in my current playthrough, but since I don't want to have trophies impacting all of my dialogue choices I'm simultaneously playing the game on 3x speed on a separate file for the date with Barret 😵 Will be glad when that trophy pops.

Finished Crisis Core last night. Was nice doing a casual run just for story, after my first play of Reunion was four times the length for the Platinum! Watched Last Order after that, and now I'm reading the bonus story included in Traces of Two Pasts which takes place before FF7!
