i think the realization i came to is that a LOT of students spend too much time writing and practicing "film scores" and not enough time writing "music" - standalone pieces with their own musical structures, memorable melodies, narrative arcs--the kind of stuff that people will remember!

my community will always be a safe space for LGBTQIA+, our trans friends, where black ppl can be themselves creatively, for indigenous people and for allies who support us wholeheartedly. i want to encourage growth and accountability bc there’s always something to learn. thank you
