#QueerPrompts March 22: Food, mostly. It was an unintentional theme, but it's one of the ways I show support IRL and it came through in a couple of my books.

Alexander gets quiet and extra needy/touchy. Benson has no filter and will babble. (Hockey romance) Magnus gets flustered when he's usually very "in control." Declan gets fidgety and squirmy or extremely quiet and shy, depending on what the context is. (Dragon/farm boy) #awesomecharacters

Lol we added a whole section of subplot in the late book that required extensive rewrites. But oh my god I love this book so much more now. And I have a sequel in mind that's gonna hurt so good 😹😹

You'd think I'd be used to my team losing but it still hurts every time. *sigh*

Reading over something I started writing 2 years ago (dragon shifter x farm boy next door) compared to my current book, and oh boy, you can really tell that I intentionally toned down how I write smut for serialization on kofi.

I write MLM/BL/yaoi romance where being gay is never shameful and is never the issue that causes tension or drama. It's normal and the characters always get an HEA/HFN because I'm closeted, can't come out etc. and I want it to be normal and accepted, so it's how I cope, too. #pretendpanel

Aw man, my editor sent me notes on the dragon x farm boy story and fixed a few lines for me already. And I re-read what I have and I really like it! Now I wanna write more of Magnus and his farm boy, Declan. ...this is messing up my schedule!!

#QueerPrompts March 21: I write strictly BL/yaoi. Not because I can't write other stuff, it's really just my comfort genre and it gives me extra freedom to be a hopeless romantic without it being too cringe 😹 (but I have considered whether I am omnisexual myself, actually.)

If I like a particular line I 100% will voice it out, specially if I'm talking to someone about it. I can do a halfway decent French-Canadian accent now 😹 Mostly dialogue just happens naturally as I'm writing and I go back and edit the hell out of it. Hockey players all talk the same way tho.

Whenever I think I'm adding too much smut in my books, I just remind myself that practically every other chapter of that one popular book had the characters hooking up and I tend to use smut scenes as relationship or character development 🙏

No one has pets, so if there's a crash something has broken or someone has broken in. Alexander is a hockey player so he's ready to fight, and is probably naked. Magnus, my dragon, is a quiet man who won't fight if he doesn't have to. He's just calm and gentle and wants solitude. #AwesomeCharacters

I forgot to say that I woke up this morning with the steamiest scene for the werewolf book I have coming out later this year. It's not even written yet 🙈🙈 but I HAD to write this scene down. Debating on making the vampire book totally unhinged because of the story I'm rewriting for it 🤔🤔

In my dragon shifter story, Magnus is desperate for a second chance. He was basically kicked out of a whole city in a turf war and is praying that buying a random farm gives him a second chance. Then he meets the farm boy next door and worries about messing things up. #AwesomeCharacters

Caught Offsides is meant to be fluffy and romantic. The drama is interpersonal, self-doubt stuff (and hockey suspensions) because it's meant to set up a sequel. Fluffy books with relatively low stakes are perfectly acceptable and often serve a purpose/niche etc.

My vampire, dragon shifter, and Werewolf WIPS are a little violent, but I write contemporary romance, so overall not violent at all. Unless a hockey fight counts? I like writing fight scenes, but I think my fight scenes are significantly less detailed than my smut scenes. Intentionally.

My OCs are just guys since I write contemporary fiction, and RGG fanfic. So pretty easy. However, I do have a vampire, werewolves, and a dragon shifter coming up in my novels so... a lot more difficult for those guys. #OCSKY #OCASK
