And last starter message from me. I've been scratching my head over a couple of baptisms in 1740 and 1741, both of which are before the parents married later in 1741, but seem to carry the father's surname, who is listed on the records. #AncestryHour 1/2

Couple of other things. I've been slowly reading Swaledale and Wharfedale Remembered, which contains short bios of all those from the area who died in WWI and WW2. There is a #Wellock in there, but so far no others who are jumping out as related. #AncestryHour 1/2

[3] If you were a Dutch toddler & a boy, you were dressed as a girl in the higher strata of society. It made sense in changing nappies but seems strange to modern eyes. This is a little boy who lives in the National Gallery in Dublin. Gender meant something different then too.

I had a couple of #FamilySearch questions which maybe #AncestryHour could help with. 1) Why does the 1939 register never come up on profile searches and how do I find it otherwise? I've seen records connected to other profiles, but no matter how I filter profile searches it doesn't come up.
