Teacher and whippet slave.
I didn’t realise how much I loved Neil Kinnock. What a voice!

It’s bonkers that the uk is ahead of Canada in the medal table for the Winter Olympics.

I love Neil. It feels like ages since we heard from him. I think he is my favourite character. (Although Tracey, Chelsea and Brad are all running a close second obvs.)

I hope no one here needs this information but if you think you may need some support here are some useful helplines open over Christmas. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Mel Stride sounds very like Rupert Vansittart, I think. The same pompous tone.

Ended up turning off the 6.30 comedy. Really couldn’t stand it . Then missed The Archers.

I’m feeling a bit more cheerful after a chat with a far-away friend, and now I’m off to curl up in bed with a book. Stay safe, friends. Good night, see you tomorrow.

Watching newsnight. What is going on with the makeup on the agent’s head? Did he do it himself?

I’m Irish but live in Oxfordshire. We have a much healthier relationship with death in Ireland. Here there’s a fear that doesn’t exist in Ireland. I wonder if the English might be the outliers.

Really going off Lilian. Disliking her almost as much as Eddie.

Visiting Liverpool university with daughter no 1. Never been here before. Feeling almost Ostalgie for the some of the architecture. (Big hit, btw)

Dog sitting. The two dogs staying with us are being lovely. Our dog is being a total arse. It’s likely to be a long weekend.

Results day here. After almost 30 years of teaching, I still don’t sleep well the night before. All good though! Lots of happy students!

Would you think that this fellow would wake the house up at 5am because he heard a pheasant outside? 3 days on the trot?
