I have such a core memory of associating The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross and me being ill. It's so ingrained that I now actively seek it out to watch when I'm feeling poorly. It's practically medicinal.

Finished Deltarune Ch.3, onto 4 tomorrow, I reckon. One of the few game series that gets loud laughs from me throughout and this entry was no exception. I shan't say any more than that.

Not being funny, but I sit at night thinking "Why can't we have a wrestling game with finishers that play out like heat actions from the Like a Dragon/Yakuza games?" Like, seriously, cinematic moves with real impact given to each attack. How sick would that look?

I took such a long time away from posting and engaging with social media meaningfully. I feel like I just got burned more often than not. I still feel this cynical vibe around things like this because I know a lot of people on this medium exist in a performative capacity.

I'm thinking of doing more stream of consciousness posts on here. Just to natter away some idle thoughts more often like how I used to do. I dunno why I feel the need to contextualise my own neuroses, but it beats procrastinating all the art stuff I said I'd try to get back into.

I started my weekend legitimately on the verge of a ruinous decision (NOT a life-threatening one, for the record) and, fortunately, found myself ending the weekend more grateful to be where I am. I'm not ready to give up yet. I've come this far and there's still time to make things better.

#Wrestlemania was alright. Like, a decent amount of cool stuff throughout the two nights. Loved the Women's Championship Triple Threat, Joe Hendry's Wrestlemania Debut was awesome. I think it ended a bit meh, overall, but it was still pretty good.

Think I'll stay up to watch Wrestlemania tomorrow. First one watched in a while. Should be a good laugh. Good old Easter Weekend. Letting me stay up late on a Sunday.

Blood Pressure readings are such bullshit sometimes. Either I'm feeling my heart beating in my chest and head and my reading is "normal" or I'm the calmest I've ever felt in my life and I'm on the verge of a stroke, effectively. (Not really. I'm fine, but still, might as well be.)

Americans heard "They're eating the dogs..." and thought "Yeah, that's who I want running this country." Weird country.

It's kinda like every time I go on holiday, the world turns the difficulty setting up for when I get back. Guess I'd best enjoy the next few days as much as I can.

I'm like 3 for 5 on major, terrible events occurring when in holiday in Germany. COVID lockdown, Queen's death and now Trump got elected again. Can I just have a holiday without having to come back home to another friggin' catastrophe, please?

I don't think I'm as hung up on the adaption changing Kiryu, Majima or Nishiki's development and origins. There is an obvious disconnect between the game and the show. I usually just find myself asking: "Okay, but why did that need to change?" #LikeADragon #Yakuza #Prime

Watching Like a Dragon: Yakuza on Prime. Honestly, it's a bit hit or miss for me. It might be a touch more realistic in how characters are driven and develop, but I feel as though it loses some of the charm and relatability. However, story's pretty intriguing. Guess I'll see how it goes next week.
