In a UN speech today, President Trump said that "all of these [climate] predictions were wrong". Back in 2019 I led a research effort to digitize old climate model projections and assess how well they did. Turns out they got future warming pretty spot on!

The House is back in session, where legislators officially get the veto letter read into the record. They then immediately announced a joint session for tomorrow at 9 a.m. to take up an override vote. The bill passed 48-11. They'll need 40.

I live in Alaska. Ben's nifty site shows that 6% of our population is federal workers. If half of those 22,000 people lose their jobs, that's 10,000 houses on the market in a state with a very fragile economy. And 10,000 families that will most likely need to leave Alaska to survive.
