There are 565 primary schools in the Kent County Council area. KCC acknowledges that there is a growing demand for #SchoolStreets schemes in Kent. Since 2020 Kent Highways have delivered 2 school street schemes. kentconnected.org/school-stree...

Jemima - We need to make the enforcement of schools streets by camera or bollard easier outside London. We also need School Street schemes to me more ambitious - larger zones further away from the school. Good news - Schemes are not a drain on budgets.... they pay for themselves in a year.

Next up Jemima Hartshorn Founder of Mums for Lungs. 'My grandmother at the age of 92 cycles every day! She lives in Hamburg - it's not only great that she has her mobility, if I am honest I feel safer that she is not driving.'
