Something I’ve really changed on over the years is I used to think politics should be about policy and now I really think it should be more about vibes. As a voter you’re able to exert very little power over policy, but you can exert some over giving power to non-ghouls.

This is very vibes-based, but I do not expect Republicans to try to moderate in response to last night’s disaster. I think they’ve convinced themselves they have a limited span of time to fundamentally alter the calculus, and will double down on that.
