Took the pic but forgot to post! I ended up playibg a great game against nurgle (first time!), no pics as his army was unpainted- managed a tight 60-56 win in the end! Also managed to get the cryptguard largely finished for my FEC, gonna try snowy bases I think (sorry pic sucks lol) #hobbystreak

Bit late but ended up finishing off the bases for my last batch of skeles and am thus free from their boney shackles #hobbystreak

Really pleased with these quick and dirty banners, just mixed a couple of contrasts together with a big wet brush and swirled it til it looked extra gross- then monitored as it dried to stop it pooling too much at the bottom! Also shaded the skin on the rest of the unit #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak today was a monday gameday to catch up for a missed one last week! I’m really enjoying gitz but definitely misplayed this quite hard, some great rolling turns 4 and 5 couldn’t overcome mistakes made early doors! Next time, all willl be painted including my loonshrine :)

Did a little tweaking on my skin recipe for the fleshesters on this model which came as part of the lot already painted decently- it had pale skin so I slapped some plaguebearer flesh and then coelia greenshade on top, before changing the base rock to fit my scheme #hobbystreak

Absolutely gargantuan afternoon/evening at the airbrushing desk has my FEC and Maggotkin ready for the brush :) also my gf and I started our first joint project, the aforementioned loonshrine! #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak today was building the loonshrine I impulse bought yesterday- lovely kit, loads of fun details and little gribbly bits! Would be even better if the moon and the rock could be sub assembled but can’t have it all!

#hobbstreak today was getting my first game of gitz in! Got 75 points in a tight game against my mate’s refined soulblight list, proper shitter off in the middle of the board with so much healing, recursion etc- mvp was the spider coming in behind, shredding his wight king and securing 2x tactics!

Today’s actual #hobbystreak was shitloads of airbrushing, ended up sticking a load of blue on my friend’s archaon and also got my own chaos varnished, as well as shooting some nice vivid pink under this nurgle spearhead- happy with the effect so far :)

Belated #hobbystreak post, I ordered a single biggus piggus cos it was cheap on fb market- will need to change the base but spent some time yesterday dropping 3 coats of pink on the panels, pretty happy with the existing fur and skin on it :)

Have been super busy with work so not been posting- played in my first 2k tourny yesterday! Came a close 2nd for best painted and went 1-2, KO are real dirty rn! Had a great time, was nice to meet so many people in the community, AoS feels like its in a great spot right now #hobbystreak

Got my chaos warriors finished today! Crackle paste let me down as usual so bases aren’t as intended but ended up using sone fluo pigments which i’m pretty pleased with to sell the glow :) #hobbstreak

Was having such a great day- enjoying some TI in the background whilst settling into the new job, got these fellas almost finished! then my car broke down before my game, I turned up an hour late and got tabled after my opponent’s double turn 1-2! Hard misplay taking first to do nothing #hobbystreak

Wanted to wait until I was done for the day before posting and ended up forgetting to do so! Had a long session working on my chaos warriors, really pleased with the blends on the blue to orange, hoping when the bases are done it will help sell the OSL! #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak today was abit brief, BIL still here and starting a new job tomorrow (wish me luck!). Slopped some contrast on the fur/lizard skins hanging round the shoulders and then some metallics on the weapons and little doodads too

Ended up working a bit on these guys after a very long day with little sleep- pleased with how the orange has glazed, not so much for the purple! Will need some tidying up before heading to the next step but liking the glow effect so far #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak today was getting some colour down on my chaos warriors, learning lessons from the test model and trying to come up with a plan to get them done in a reasonable timeframe. Next steps will be some brown contrast on the fur and some basic metallic gold and silvers

Forgot to post yesterday! Had a day watching TI and painting, finished up both FEC warbands, lots of work being done by the initial airbrush of sickly green/paynes grey so was nice to just pick out some details- may end up picking up the new ROR! #hobbystreak

Had a pretty lovely day hosting a house warming (somewhat late) so took a while to get to my painting desk and was a little worse for wear once there- cancelled tomorrow’s warboot trip to focus on what I have already- almost polished off the rest of these FEC warbands #hobbystreak

It’s been a little while, busy week! I’ve been up to all sorts and managed to get 3 games of AOS in, as well as painting quite a bit since getting back- going to restart my #hobbystreak posting with these humble offerings, the main thing today has been finishing the vargheists :)

I’m going to call this #hobbystreak finished as I’m going away tomorrow so will be away from my desk for a few days- 124 days, 13 large models painted and 132 smaller ones! I also played quite a few games and generally had a great time with all things hobby- highlights below!

Had a lovely day today teaching a mate how to play spearhead- he kicked my arse with my own seraphon! Definitely misplayed hard with the SCE SH, suicided my flyers twice to kroxigors expecting a different result but still had a great time with it :) #hobbystreak

Had quite a productive day of it in the end! Hit a buzz of motivation with the chaos lord and got into him, I might slap some turqouise wash over the green scales to make him a little more evil looking, but overall happy with the rest! Also magnetised my sce spearhead for tomorrow #hobbystreak

Got some colours down on this fella for #hobbystreak, wasn’t feeling super inspired- I’m a bit ill today so might be it but just wasn’t feeling it, I think I’m going to lean more into the burgundy on the panels and maybe wet blend a little

Put these fellas on the shelf next to their fellow skelemen and realised they were missing something- the grime! They looked way too clean without a bit of nilakh showing in the corroded bits of copper- they’re ready to stand guard on my shelf now at least :) #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak for the day done and dusted early doors as I’m still working and then rushing off into town as soon as I finish for a pool tournament with the fellas! Got some sweet purple down for Kragnos’ shadows and the base, think it’ll be a ritual circle of some sort- vargheists too!

Had to cancel my game today cos there was a pigeon trapped in my chimney- 2 hours of theorising and hard grafting and eventually I got the little fucker out. Easily one of the hardest things i’ve ever done- accidental renaissance shot attached. Milliputed the base and flight stand for #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak today was a bit of a quiet one on the backburner as was quite busy at work and then had some other stuff to do- made the base in the morning, then drybrushed in the afternoon, then washed it all over with contrast in the evening- needs redrybrushing I think, as well as milliput gapfill!

#hobbystreak today was a mammoth airbrushing session, varnished 40 skeles, then did some basecoating on Kragnos and my blood knights- think the red spray takes away some of the purple shadow drama but at the same time saves me a lot of time with 12 of them to do!

I got an absolute tonne of work done on this monster batch of skeletons today, got all of them fully painted! 15 have bases done, the other 20 will get done at some point but for now I’m going to relax and do some none-horde army painting I think.. Kragnos is looking mighty tempting for #hobbystreak

Ugh I did another few colours on my 40 skeles today but didn’t take a pic so now im cosy in bed with the dog lying on me. It’d be borderline criminal to move her when shes snoring like this so the pic will have to wait- in the meantime, found a massive frog in the garden earlier! #hobbystreak

When life gives you skeles… batch paint the fuck out of them? I ended up just doing the bone and cloth of all of these skeles, I think 35 in total? Going to try and get the NMM boxed off on them tomorrow and that should make my backlog feel a little less voluminous #hobbystreak

Got a lot done today, built 5 blood knights and 10 skeles from a SBGL spearhead I bought second hand, then finished off Lokhir- have laid some mordant on the base but need to gap fill the slotta with milliput as his tab is way too thin! #hobbystreak

Played a fun game of seraphon vs my mate’s soulblight, ooops all skeles edition! Was a really close game swung heavily on my 2 kroxigors hitting 8 attacks with their special weapons, wiping his otherwise unscathed barrow guard! 66-51 was final score roughly, talked out last round :) #hobbystreak

#hobbystreak today was a little break from army painting, decided to slap some colours on my Lokhir and see where I got with it. Painting him in a more eavy metal style than I usually go for and trying out some nice new brushes, not my forte but enjoying the change of pace/style :) #hobbystreak

I finally finished my reinforcements for my kroxigors, so 2nd moonstone hammer here I come! Going to try running the brick of 6 in a bit of a goofy list against my buddy’s soulblight on thursday, thinking about taking 2 spawn of chotec, some raptadons etc just really buff up the lads! #hobbystreak

Finished the base for my KB boss today, quick and swampy but i like it! Just that base rim to go #hobbystreak

Went along to element for the painting awards today- didn’t place myself but glad I put something in, was really cool to see some great models and dioramas! Came home and decided to finish off some of my seraphon, got my aggradons almost done, as well as mud laid on bases for krox too! #hobbystreak

Today’s #hobbystreak was a monster building session, appropriate for the absolute monster that is Kragnos! I also received my first metal model that I ordered a while back, points if anyone can guess this classic fantasy character from his silhouette! Also did the base for my sludgeraker :)

Ironically given my opponent was tzeentch, fate was on my side today! Rolled some sweet 12s to unbind early, managed to kill 18 pink horrors first round and tabled my opponent by turn 3 to take the W for lizards! Lost kroak and 2 dinos but a compelling win! Came home to this too :) #hobbystreak

Played a couple of games of spearhead against my brother’s giants, seems to have really reinvigorated his love for the hobby which is great :) my first time playing against giants- very swingy but a lot of fun, we drew 16-16, then 17-17! Playing a full game against tzeentch tomorrow #hobbystreak

Just did a little poking around of paint on my aggradon riders today. The pink and purple basecoat was having me second guess my colour scheme after 4000 points, but I think once I start getting the green onnthe scales it’ll look cool! #hobbystreak

Much more productive day today, managed to sort of replicate my original kroxigor scheme, although I’ve not gone as dark in the shadows on purpose, thought it looked like a nicer transition from the scales- also got most of my first aggradons done :) #hobbystreak

Stayed up quite late working on that piece so have been feeling a bit burnt after handing it in! Chilled and did some assembly/priming on some recent acquisitions instead :) #hobbystreak

Okay, think we’re ready to hand in tomorrow ahead of the tuesday deadline- I’ve redone the highlights in a very pastel blue over yellow and glazed a moon reflection into the water- think i may end up sticking another layer over the top to dull it a little tomorrow #hobbystreak

Currently in the process of seeing what needs doing for this to be my first competition piece! I think I need to tidy up the NMM and lean more into the cold side of the light spectrum to sell the effect but think I should have enough time tomorrow before getting it in on sunday :) #hobbystreak

Had the best game yet of AoS and I just keep grinning even though it finished an hour ago! Lost an extremely back and forth game 61-60 against a really great and gracious opponent, was able to table him at the end but damage was done- just 1inch short of autorunning to get the last obj! #hobbystreak

5 more skeles, plus ivya volga ready for varnishing! That’s half of my skeletons finished now, think I’m going to try to carry the momentum tomorrow night and finish of 5 more if I can to get a round 20 done- would be nice to get that and 2 blood knights done to round out the spearhead #hobbystreak
