Over the holiday, everyone will want cuddles with your baby, which is lovely. Remember that you are the one your breastfed baby wants and needs to be with. Keeping your baby close will help make sure that you don't miss their feeding cues.

Just finished reading Milli Hill's Ultra-Processed Women. Everyone should read this book; it is such an eye opener. It's quite scary, but also full of sensible practical things that feel achievable and that will make a genuine difference.

This week MoMa mourns the death of Dr Michel Odent. He was a champion for mothers & giving birth “back to women”. His advocacy reminded us that birth is a physiological, deeply instinctive process, with a natural integrity which should be protected from unnecessary intervention.

Sometimes there are pieces that it is a huge privilege to proofread. This was one of those.

Marian Tompson is a phenomenal woman. She is in her 90s and still fighting for what is right. I treasure this gift that she had made and sent to me (by a talented friend of hers) late last year. It's on magnetic paper and lives on my fridge. 🥰

We pronounce it Moh-Muh, but people will say it how they like. I also like that it's quite close to Mama which is what one of my girls sometimes called me when she was little.
