Y’all gotta stop making these takes. The amount of people that lost lifelong jobs, the amount of creatives who lost homes with day jobs who work as personal assistants, MUA’s, AV, producers - everyone needs this. LA’s economy needs the Oscars now. Can rich people be quiet and just cut the checks?

As a musician in LA who lost about $2k due to the fires, I would love for the Oscars to go forward so all of us creatives affected are able to work our day jobs as AV, catering, security, H&MU, etc. Calls to cancel the Oscars are tone deaf. Oscars are one night to public, a week of work for us.
