14. March 28, 2025 earthquake devastated infrastructure across Myanmar. The historic Ava (Old Sagaing) Bridge which crossed the Irrawaddy River was built 1934 during British colonial rule, sabotaged by British during WW2 & rebuilt 1954. The 7.7 earthquake collapsed several spans.
