oh my WHOLE LIFE. 20+ years! i first started liking my art when i was around 15-16. ofc i have changed since then but that was when i felt like i was getting consistent results, which is what defined a "style" for me. i like to think you can absolutely see echoes of my old art the new, esp the eyes

ooo good question! i always know what background color i want & go from there. the goat boys are a good example: similar in composition but i want each one to feel very different. 1st: complimentary colors for warmth, but with mysterious shading, 2nd: low contrast & drab, dramatic atmosphere--(1/?)

ok i only went SLIGHTLY overboard a bit of this is "draw the rest of the fucking owl" as far as the SHAPE of smoke goes and that's something that i would absolutely say use a reference for. not only IRL references, but reference how other artists, esp historical ones, draw smoke too! and practice!!
