Dear #19thcAmericanLit Scholars, especially #Melville ones, I've read Moby Dick (or Moby-Dick, yr choice) 5x. The analyses, commentaries, etc., that I see are all by men. Is this b/c almost every character in the bk is a guy, or what? Am I the only fan who identifies as female?
