I can relate a lot with this. The struggle between making tools and making games is real, but it's definitely manageable if you pay attention, and also very rewarding to do! And there is also a lot of middleground: you can assemble a lot of smaller tools to make something that works well for you!

Mon partenaire et moi avons installé Loreline et commencé à le tester, et on s'amuse beaucoup! Merci d'avoir créé et mis à disposition cet outil, il est très cool. On espère que la version Godot sera disponible bientôt, et on a hâte de voir comment l'outil évoluera!

Tonight, added just a little bit of "juice" to the ON/OFF small lights state change, and tried a more neutral tint when those lights are in "sleep mode". #gamedev

I was such a ride to get there, but the "colored lights" revamp is now working pretty great: it can mix various lights of different colors, and the whole thing is blended correctly so far! Can finally consider working on other aspects like level design now 😭 #gamedev #indiegame #pixelart #indiedev

Adding realtime audio processing to Ceramic engine. Quite tricky to make it work on all targets (native, web & unity), but here we are! It opens the door to a lot of cool stuff like creating toy synths and other audio effects in games 🎧 #gamedev #solodev #enginedev #indiedev #audio

Viv is 100% correct here. Your options are always one of three: 1. Do not make an indie game. 2. Get funding, usually by making something that fits a very narrow and useless definition of "safe", and subsequently losing agency over your production reality. 3. Have another income or means.

Migrated Ceramic engine to SDL3, among various other improvements. Glad my game still runs fine, along with gamepad input, on my Retroid Pocket 4 (Android) 😄 #gamedev #indiedev

Some progress on my game: Improved screen transitions (fade for small sections, scroll for screen-sized ones), made light rays continue across screens, and clarified respawn rules (player returns to last entry point on current screen). Not very punishing, which is fine! #gamedev #indiedev #solodev
