Today, the Committee on Immigration held a FY26 Preliminary Budget Hearing, with testimony from @nycimmigrants.bsky.social, the Office of Asylum Seekers Operations, and members of the public.

With nearly 1.3 million New Yorkers, and 1 in 4 children, experiencing food insecurity, organizations like Rethink Food are critical to bridge the gap between excess food and the communities that need it. Thank you for having me, and thank you for all that you do!
