Was having coffee with a friend in Waterstones in Greenwich. A man came up and told us to be quieter. I’m not proud of myself but he got an ear bashing at a much louder volume than we’d be talking at, with me ending “This isn’t a fucking library you know!” Oddly he left quickly after that.

For those who have not heard my darling partner through the best 27 years of my life died on Saturday. I was holding his hand. Des de Moor 20th April 1961 to 7 February 2026. @desdemoor.bsky.social

And update for those who don’t know. My beloved partner of 27 1/2 years @desdemoor.bsky.social is in critical care in KCH. I found him unconscious on Sunday afternoon and he’s been in an induced coma ever since. I’m with him every day and I want him to come home
