Art Year in Review 2024 🎉 NGL there were a LOT of times I did not think I would be able to make a full year this year. However, I came into 2024 saying my goal was to take on "more larger projects." Well, Mission accomplished, I'd say.

While I was working on my recent art I feel like I learned about being humble. I drew a rear viewed guy that I thought would take like.. 20-30 minutes. No, it was like 2 hours and had a breakdown. I thought that I'd know this by now, but I guess not. Anyways, keep being humble and use refs gamers

New hobby acquired:junk journaling Like damn this is kinda relaxing that I should've done it sooner. I just take leftover paper and try to make it look creative. The best part is if it looks ugly, it's guilt free because it's supposed to be junk! (Some stickers here and there tho)

TW; vent - I am pissed off of the treatment of digital artists at the event. Time schedules were not clarified correctly and we only had B&W pencil references on paper on 1 and 1/2 days. Meanwhile trad painting has 4-5 people, can have references on phone, on the span of 2 1/2 days. (1/2)

One art advice I've never heard from anyone on the internet is to study composition from photographers. Unlike artists who have to focus on fundamentals, They are heavily built to compose photos because they're limited to real life and they have to make do by composition, which is excellent study.
