After launching the USB installer it asks a bunch of stuff, including what you would like your admin password to be, and would you like to encrypt your drive? This is before it starts the install process. I tried without encrypting twice before I gave in. Good luck :)

Just installed #Manjaro w Gnome 47.1 on a 2017 HP Elitebook. Updating w the update manager, flatpaks from Flathub. Kernel 6.12.x: it feels slower than #Pop!_OS #Cosmic 24.04 on 6.9.x...? Shouldn't it be faster? #Manjaro should have a #Cosmic DE option!
