Diablo 1 Quest 16 - Diablo. And there you have it. The big bad himself. The prince Lazarus kidnaps serves as Diablo's vessel in the physical world and you have to put him down. Curiously, he lacks a tail in the first game, much like the succubi. A technical limitation, maybe?

Diablo 1 Quest 15 Archbishop Lazarus The second to last boss, Lazarus is seen sacrificing a child to an altar and is accompanied by two succubi minibosses Black Jade and Red Vex (I'll let you figure out which is which) and an army of minions. A tough fight with all the magic.

Diablo 1 Quest 14 - Lachdanan Lachdanan killed King Leoric and was cursed for it. He seeks the golden elixir to undo the curse and move peacefully to the afterlife. He leaves you his helmet before departing though. I wanted to represent all of this in this one drawing.

Diablo 1 Quest 13 - Warlord of Blood It is just this one guy guarding the armory of hell. Lots of loot to collect after defeating him. He has a pretty monochromatic color palette which I tried to represent here in red. I think it suits him well

Diablo 1 Quest 12 - Anvil of Fury Find the anvil that belongs in the Hellforge and bring it to the blacksmith, so he can craft you a magic sword. I added a pentagram in addition to the runes and the fiery waterfall in the background. BTW, did you find the secret in the last post?

Diablo 1 Quest 11 - Black Mushroom Weirdest quest in the game. It gets sidetracked into finding a demon brain which ends up not mattering, and an elixir that the quest giver ends up not wanting. Also, the mushroom says "whoa" when dropped. For some reason.

Diablo 1 Quest 10 - Zhar the Mad More like an encounter, he wants to be left alone and gives you a tome to make you leave. If you interact with the bookcase tho, he attacks you and is surprisingly strong too. I drew him being surprised by the player. And his bookcase ofc.

Diablo 1 Quest 9 Halls of the Blind You read about this one on a tome and then explore the actual place. It is very cramped, dark and full of invisible enemies called the hidden. I think I managed to encapsule the entire thing on this drawing.

Diablo 1 Quest 8 Chamber of Bone. A fun concept as a quest: a cursed room that dooms any who die in it in search of treasure to rise again as a skeleton to defend it from more thieves. The reward is this tome which teaches you a spell. Maybe the best skulls I've drawn in a while

The monster of the day is the Colossal Carrot! This creature shows up in rabbits' dreams, turning them into nightmares! They wake up sweating and screaming! Luckily, they end up unharmed. #pixelart

Diablo 1 Quest 7 - Arkaine's Valor In this one you have to find three blood stones to fill a magic altar with blood which unlocks the door to the eponymous armor. Not much else to it, so I thought the alter was the best thing to draw, since it is so intricate looking.

Diablo 1 Quest 6 - The Magic Rock For this one I took a picture of my own hand, traced over it, made the outline thicker so it looks like a leather glove then manually shaded and added the folds and creases. The ring is the most interest part of the quest anyway, so I included it

Diablo 1 Quest 5 - Gharbad the Weak This guy begs you not to kill him in exchange for an item he'll make, only to try to kill you in the end. The voice acting was kinda funny, tho. I drew him cowering in fear with the weapon on the ground against a dark background of the dungeon.

Diablo 1 Quest 4 Ogden's Sign #pixelart In this one, you can return the sign to the tavern owner, or give it to this fallen. Regardless of choice, he betrays you and sics his buddies on you. I felt like representing him with the sign and his buddies peering from the dark.

Diablo 1 Quest 2 - The Butcher #pixelart Representing the room the butcher stays in seems more interesting than the monster itself. He's so overdone these days, plus, seeing only the sillouette in the dark with the peering red eyes looks scarier. The game's most iconic quest.

I've been drawing all Diablo 1 quests in #pixelart and will be posting one a day, starting with 1 - Poisoned Water Supply. Lots of fun with the well on this one. Cain and Pepin felt like the most right NPCs to be featured there (One gives you the quest, the other is very wise).
