#MFAkitchenlog2025 week23 On Monday, while doing inventory, we uncovered quite a few surprises — things “lost” during the previous week. The shift lead was very vocal about it and spent a lot of time re-setting the entire workflow after their predecessors. 1/4

#MFAkitchenlog2025 MAY Over the course of five weeks, we delivered over 74,000 meal portions to the military and packaged nearly the same amount. We faced many challenges: deep cleaning until late at night, record-setting packaging days, improving bread baking and pasta preparation techniques. 1/

#MFAkitchenlog2025 Week19 This week was a special one for us — we broke our all-time record for the number of packed meals in a single day (check out our previous post if you haven’t seen it yet!). 1/4

Yesterday was our biggest packing day ever — 6,341 portions in total: • Breakfast — 1,093 portions • Turkey cutlet with buckwheat — 1,043 portions • Bolognese with pasta — 1,055 portions • Pork loin in bacon with pasta — 1,032 portions 1/3

In April, we managed to do even more: – delivered 59,472 ready to eat meals for our units (3,825 more than in March) – packed 61,065 portions (3,199 more than in March) – logistics route was over 29,831 km. These are our highest numbers for meal portions so far. 1/3

Since 2022, we’ve been regularly receiving food parcels from Helen. Helen Garbuz is an American who has been living in Ukraine for over 20 years. Together with her husband, they bought land here and built a farm in the American style. They grow vegetables that are not so common for us. 1/3

Bread 🍞 In spring 2022, when we were still feeding defenders in Kyiv, a bakery used to bake bread for us. In May, we moved to Zaporizhzhia, and at first, we were buying bread from Metro (wholesale and retail store). 1/3

Muffins for our units 🧁 Not 50, not 100, and not even 500. 102 kg of cream and 913 muffins in 10-11 hours by two cooks. That's our level. But we can do even more 💪🏻

On March 27th, our corporation FVSM.net expanded. Now we have a garage. Mechanics, their knowledge, and skills in machinery and engines are an important and timely addition to our logistics team. This will allow us to deliver millions of portions. @chefzhenya.bsky.social 1/2

Adaptation in manufacturing usually happens quite quickly and actively, in a short period of time. There's a lot of work, and all of it is important and urgent. For example, on her first full day at the manufacturing facility, the new cook was frying crepes on 3 pans, 1/2

#MFAkitchenlog2025 Week11 This week, we had an emergency menu because many people on the team got sick, and we didn't have enough hands. At the beginning of the week, we were really overwhelmed, but the last menu was easier to handle. 1/4

We always have a clear work plan from Monday to Sunday. Throughout the week, we gradually prepare all the dishes: salads, main courses, breakfasts, soups, and desserts. Our logisticians collect the portions three times a week and deliver them to our units.

#MFAkitchenlog2025 Week9 The week started with the words: "The hot department was working non-stop all day, the combi ovens were running non-stop – baking bread, 1500 muffins, 200 kg of potatoes, and confit onions at the same time." Overall, the pace continued like this throughout the week. 🫠 1/3
