Well the rain has started only 53 minutes late!! Patio cleared & tidied! Started putting seed, weed & feed on the lawn but only managed 3 foot as I think it was damp & hard work! Lovely petrichor smell!🌧️⛈️

Just sweeping up all the piles of dirt & dried leaves that have piled up around the patio before the heavy rain forecast for 3pm. Luckily saw this little fella - a baby 3” slow worm! Now rehomed to a flower bed!

Willow has her own bowl of water in the kitchen & numerous saucers of rainwater but no she has to drink from the tortoise bowl which I’d just filled!

It’s my little grandson’s 16th birthday today - how can that be…..?! 🎂🫶

The great moult has started, ginger fur everywhere!! Making an effort to brush her a few times a day & at least she doesn’t mind! Her fur is so soft it seems a shame to bin it! Have to have a think & get a book!!🤔

My Flowering Cherry started flowering yesterday - today we had violent winds so I guess it will all be gone in a day or two 😢

I bought this for Willow on April 13 2025 and she has just avoided it. It’s been sitting near the window so she can view her estate but would she go near it?!! Today I was sorting things out for charity & decided it was going & what has she done….

Lovely afternoon & 20°, pity it’s not going to last! Willow found a nice warm slab to lounge on & Boris who’s only just started going out has been turbo charged & sneaked in for a photo!

Good start to the weekend- no hot water! Think it must be the valve, luckily the central heating is ok ! Well it’s back to the good old days & kettles & strip washes at the kitchen sink or maybe I’ll wander down to a friend for a shower!! Plumber on Monday! 🤞
