My Truffle Marmite is gone, what am I to do? All I can come up with is sprinkling Truffle dust on regular marmite on toast but I know it won’t be the same. Please Mr Unilever could you do another batch or have you a few leftovers hidden away?

I did ‘The Magical 12 Nights Ritual’ this year where you write 13 wishes on Winter Solstice to complete in the New Year! You fold them up & burn one, without looking, every night. On New Years Day you’re left with the one to complete!! The one I ended up with was to learn water colour painting! 🎨🖼️

Just watching 2012 & it’s bought back memories of a vivid nightmare I had when we moved here 30 yrs ago! I dreamt there was sunami & can remember suggesting that my husband built an arc -I was convinced it was a premonition! He of course laughed as we are 532 foot above sea level! So far, so good!!

Lovely hazy sunset

Having kept me awake all night madam is on her way to bed! She absolutely loves the wind & has been flying in & out the cat flap & chasing through the hall all night. Might have to poke her a few times!!!!

Look what I’ve managed to get - magic memories of my childhood Christmas, a Tunis Cake!! The old McVitie originals were much larger & much more colourful!!

How on earth has this happened? One of the plates on the picture rail is broken in 3 places but still perched n the rail!

Outside drain is blocked- just been scraping around with a stick (& gloves!!) Its probably hair but there’s a large proportion of decaying leaves, I’ve no idea how they arrived as there’s a drain cover! Just put 1/2 bottle of drain unblocker down, hope it works as I don’t need another expense!!!

Thought my timid & antisocial girl had somehow smuggled a friend in! On closer looking closer it’s just the pattern on the cushion & a feather duster I’d abandoned! Must get my eyes tested!!

00.26hrs was scared silly- in a deep sleep & the door bell rung!! Leapt out of bed - the lights are on the steps but can’t see anything aaah! Went back to bed & same thing happened 5 mins later but this time no lights so think it must be the doorbell shorting…….😱

Enjoyable evening at Kew Gardens watching the Christmas lights… & the moon!
