Please call your Senators and tell them not to pass the AI preemption provision smuggled into the budget reconciliation bill! This provision would prevent state legislatures from regulating dangerous AI with no indication that Congress will provide that regulation instead.

Being involved in AI Safety has been my first real brush w misogyny. The boys think AI is their domain. It feels too much like what I imagine would happen if I DEI’d my way onto the football team. I’m not trying to take your game. You’ve actually been playing w real life.

It’s been a wild other-side-of-clouds moment to see how some people react to my broadcast messages (i.e. YouTube comments). It’s an unintentional window directly into their souls and what is important to them about themselves.

"The values, personality, and worldview of AI will vindicate that I have the right values, personality, and worldview" is a shockingly big subtext in the AI discourse. A lot of this is just a culture war.
