Let's say we paid everyone $5000/mo (which is a fair conservative living wage in Canada, ignoring non-monetary disability benefits.) It would cost the Canadian government ~4.5 trill. dollars per year. 2x GDP. Assuming 6% of the population lives on disability, that would only cost 270 billion.
