George Borrow (1801-1881) was a travel writer and novelist who walked from Norwich to London in 27 hours for a job interview. The Elizabethan actor Will Kemp claimed to have morris danced from London to Norwich in 9 days saying it was a "nine daies wonder". It actually took him weeks.

There are 20 restaurants & cafes & 9 bars in the House of Commons. These are heavily subsidised - a pint of beer costs £3.50. 9 bars in a place of work seems absurd. The subsidies shield MPs from the reality of the outside world & should be withdrawn immediately. Indeed the bars should be shut.
