There are reasons I dropped the sport years ago

I'll say this about the Dundon Stanley Cup thing: The (presumably small but super vocal, like everything else on this site) number of Canes fans nakedly, desperately and angrily caping for the billionaire-bursting-with-main-character-energy is incredibly emblematic of our times.

My favorite variety of this is the “WhAt AbOuT tHe IlItChEs?!?!” without noting that basically that entire family had actual roles in the ownership group/company vs “My second grader is more important than the longtime equipment manager.”
