Hardgroove is fast becoming a tech house-like genre in 2026. Not saying all of the new stuff I'm finding is bad, but I do get tired of hearing too much of one style. It feels like a problem where bro-ification leads to numerous copies of copies and the original soul is lost.

Happy I’ve given Instagram another shot in 2026 because at least the image compression isn’t garbage (plus their galleries make sense). But holy shit there’s alot of tutorial content on my feed and its all Ableton tech house producers or designers that think Y2k aesthetics are the Photoshop endgame.

Interesting how once things cost just a little more they become mostly inaccessible. Used to really enjoy going for a latte and working at a busy cafe but this has now turned into a $10 thing after tax and tip. The entire time I didn't feel relaxed but guilty, sitting in a mostly empty cafe.
