He nodded and sipped his churro latte. "I sell a lot of pretty wares for the same reason. Most creatures seem to like shiny and gorgeous things."

"Oh, fireworks! A human invention here, but where I come from Kobolds made it while in competition with gnomes. From what I understand its a powerfully colorful incendiary packed into a container and launched into the air very fast via a fuse. Like a bomb!"

"What an odd question. Elaborate."

"Oddit? Like an oddity?"

Before he could respond to the root approaching his leg, he saw and looked in concern as the halfling was grabbed. "Oh dear..." He watched the halfling get pulled away, and aimed the wand for a blight spell, and felt himself yoinked upwards as well into the forest. "BLOODY HOLY PLACES!!"

He chuckled. He liked her spirit. He reached for a small red vial with a bubbly liquid in it, then left it alone. "Not the worst damage I've taken. It'll be a nice memory."

Grumbles, but doesn'tpush her off. 'You have tougher teeth than I'd have thought. I think ye broke the skin."

Diabolical. Very humorous though.

"He did. But he needs them more." He took the money for the transaction. He snapped a finger, and a scroll appeared, rolled and tied with a ribbon. He handed the scroll to her. "Your proof of transaction."

"I hope so! I love repeat customers!"

"Thank ye. It's my bread and butter!"

"I meant the nights are short right now. An' I could get a small crypt for 'im easy."

"...I mean, it's summer. It won't last long."

"I mean, I'm friends with a ghost and a necromancer, so I feel like our alignment on this is vastly different."

He gently wrapped the box and pushed it towards the mouse as well. "Wear this if you face a magical creature. It wards off any attempts of magical suggestion. Nothing will sway your mind!"

He hums, pulling out a small box with an equally tiny gliterry shield, a silvery toothpick sized weapon, and a tiny sheen of chainmail. "This was gifted to me for a fallen pixie paladin... I think this is your size."

"...Why would you do any of that?"
