E até por isso a gente, que não é cientista mas que entende a importância da luta por uma ciência brasileira, decolonializada e soberana, não pode deixar de apoiar sempre que ver a oportunidade. Todo mundo que puxa uma luta revolucionária, qualquer que seja, incomoda até os semelhantes.

Escutem quem constrói de fato o movimento de restituição no Brasil. Ubirajara foi trazido pelo povo. Sem pressão, a posição alemã sobre o Irritator jamais teria se revertido.

Já passamos por isso antes. Quem noticia as restituições precisa ficar mais atento e ter responsabilidade. A maioria das matérias sobre o Irritator não menciona o papel crucial do apoio massivo de pessoas que por pura paixão à ciência e forte senso de justiça, apoiaram a pauta do começo ao fim.

Three years ago, I had the honor to be invited to publish a tt thread I had written as an article on @bcrpm.bsky.social's website. I wrote on how the "Ubirajara" and the Parthenon Sculptures cases exemplify how repetitive and fallacious some “arguments” used to not return cultural objects are.
