The weight of this grief is suffocating. It’s not just one loss — it’s the tens of thousands brutalized, disappeared, and killed — and the ones we know are still to come. It’s the exhaustion of standing witness to the same cruelty, the same violence, again and again.

We knew this was coming. But still, we hoped that maybe we were wrong, hoped that somehow this country would pull back from the edge. But it didn’t. And now we’re mourning not only the lives destroyed and dreams crushed — but the brutal unraveling of an entire nation’s soul.

The grief and the rage live side by side now, a constant reminder that love alone isn’t enough. We have to fight for what remains. The outcome is not predetermined. We still have a say in what comes next — if we stay brave, stay present, and stay together.
