I had an awesome day yesterday at the Writing NSW Kids and YA Festival catching up with writer friends, making more book-mad friends - Eek! Too many to fit here! - and listening to amazing discussions on the Aussie kidlit industry, including one with Australian Children's Laureate, SallyRippon.

Just reading people's responses to this week's question reminds me I'm not alone in having these thoughts, and that also helps. #kidlitchat

Thoughts of self-doubt and imposter syndrome are usually the ones that derail my creativity, and it's only by gritting my teeth and (often) digging a deeper hole for myself that I eventually spy that tiny nugget of gold, that spark, and find my way up to the surface again. It's not easy! #kidlitchat
