Tonight I was at a restaurant that had a Sofia Loren movie and then Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra playing in the background. I couldn’t stop glancing over to watch these two film goddesses at their best.

Seeing a lot of Made in Canada lists but we need a site that lists products that are made in 🇨🇦(owned by Canadians or other non-USA companies) and also what isn’t (Looking at you Tim Hortons). The BC gov’t has a Buy BC but we need a national option. It is likely coming. Share when you see it!

While the big picture right now in the world can feel overwhelming and glum, I’m glad to say that I’m working on a handful of films that are about to launch impactful campaigns that will make our communities better. Can’t wait to share more. Making a difference 1 film at a time is keeping me sane

Hoping there is a recap before the start of Severance S2. It’s been a long time since I watched S1. Anyone know?? Or am I stuck having to go back and rewatch the end of S1???

Scheduling emails is one of my fave things. I worked all day yesterday and didn’t bother anyone else or make them feel like they had to respond because all my emails came out this morning. Even when I tell people to respond during biz hours, I know it may make ppl feel obligated. This is better.

January has already felt like 6 months of the year.

Watching the ‘Star Trek Enterprise’ series and the Quantum Leap reunion episode just happened. Loved that show when I was a kid. Time travel has always been fascinating for me.

I’m rarely a fan of the 3hr+ movie - I am on team edit - but very much appreciated that The Brutalist built in a 15 minute intermission for theatre goers. When the word ‘intermission’ came up, it took the audience a moment to figure out what was happening but I think everyone took advantage of it.

Someone suggested muting words on here and it really does make scrolling more pleasant.

Replacing smoke alarms in the house today. Oddly harder than before so alarms keep going off. The cat is not amused.

Honestly thought Universal Language by Matthew Rankin had a great shot at being nominated for an Academy Award for International Feature this morning and am disappointed it didn’t happen. The absurdist comedy is so unexpected in many ways. I thought the members would be attracted to that. Sigh

Today the Academy Award noms come out. I remember being in Sundance one year and talking to Jason Reitman about being with him Oscar nom morning to film the moment for ET Canada because we were confident Juno with Elliot Page would get something. He turned us down as he didn’t want to jinx it. (1/2)
