I’ve been out three times in Petersfield this week, including yesterday, where Kathryn and I were joined by the spectacular @elliechowns.bsky.social 💚

Recently, I’ve been campaigning in Romsey and Coleridge for two of our fantastic candidates, Jacqui and Sarah 💚 Yesterday, I was outside Cambridge Central Mosque to let people know about the great work that they’re doing!

Earlier this week, I had a wonderful time out in Trumpington with the @cambsgreenparty.bsky.social’s newest councillor, Ingrid, and her good friend Ed 💚 They’re both doing such good work!

If you live in Cambridge, North Hertfordshire, or Tunbridge Wells, you can vote early in this year’s local elections 🗳️ Earlier today, I went over to the Guildhall to cast my vote 💚

Across Cambridge, new developments like Darwin Green are lacking key amenities, including primary schools. The @cambsgreenparty.bsky.social are fighting to make sure that all new communities have access to the facilities they deserve 💚 Last night, we were out in Castle ward 🏰

Have you ever wanted to learn how to quickly and easily put away a pop-up tent? ⛺️ Just follow my simple tutorial! Over the weekend, I was away in Calais sorting out tents for refugees with the Cambridge Convoy Refugee Action Group ❤️

Helping refugees is the right thing to do - I want more refugees to be able to come to our country, not less 🇬🇧 Now I’ve said that, hopefully I’ll get all those angry people commenting to push this post further up the algorithm 🤣🤣 The other day, I headed over to Calais 🐶

Maria and I have had a great time chatting with dozens upon dozens of residents in the Riverside area! It’s clear that she has support from the community, who recognise all her great work 💚 After a recent session, we stopped by the newly-reopened Engineer’s House for a drink 🍊

I got back last night to find horses on the loose in Barnwell 😱 I helped local residents get them secure before they could cause any issues or injure themselves 🐴 Photo: I’ve fiddled with the brightness and contrast so that you can see the horses better ❤️

After a lovely day campaigning in Shelford over the weekend with Miranda and Lee, I got to enjoy AKIRA on the big screen 🍿 It’s a beautiful film that is well worth seeing at the cinema, as you can fully appreciate the scale of its stunning, yet nightmarish, cityscapes 🎥

April is the cruellest month, especially if you’re Labour, who are about to see some BIG losses across the country ✊ However, that’ll only happen if people like you and me go out and knock on some doors 🚪 I began this week with an evening out in Petersfield 💚

I started and ended last week with some campaigning in Petersfield 💚 Many environmentalists have achieved great things over the last few decades, but nobody has managed to solve the climate crisis. To do this, we need new ideas brought by a new generation of activists ✊

Young candidates have it tough. Most people are lovely, however there are many who think that young people have nothing to contribute, existing only to sit quietly and listen to their elders 🙄 We need to stand up for young candidates ✊ I had a great time out with Alex recently!

Sefira is working incredibly hard for Arbury 💚 Recently, we spoke with people living in Kingsway flats to get their thoughts on the council’s proposed redevelopment 🏠 It’s important that any redevelopment is done with the community, not to them!

While I was down in London, I went out campaigning with Archie and Zayna in White City and toured the Barbican with some ducks 🦆

It was lovely to go on a tour of the Houses of Parliament with Jenny Jones on Tuesday afternoon 💚 Now, let’s go get some more Greens in there 🗳️

ESCHATOLOGY 🌋 Look at the state of the roads on York Terrace. LOOK AT THEM 👀 It’s like something out of Mad Max… Labour, both locally and at a national level, are allowing our streets to fall apart, something that Kathryn and I have been speaking about with residents!

I spent a nice evening chatting with @carolinelucas.bsky.social about the housing developments that are popping up in and around Cambridge 🏠 Many of them are of an extremely low quality, missing key amenities that residents rely on. Thankfully, the Greens are fighting to see this fixed 💚

Over the past couple of days, the @cambsgreenparty.bsky.social have been out chatting with residents in the Riverside area 💚 There’s a HUGE amount of support for Maria Cleminson, who’s already working hard for the community!

The @cambsgreenparty.bsky.social’s team of county councillors met at a pub last night to sort out some admin and begin laying the groundwork for the political year ahead… We’re all very excited 💚

Lots of people are voting for Maria Cleminson in Abbey on the 7th of May 🗳️ Yesterday afternoon, we were out chatting with residents living around St. Matthew’s Gardens 💚

I went out last night to campaign in Castle ward and ended up walking somebody’s dog to give them a hand 🐕 Exciting things always happen when you’re meeting your community!

Yesterday, Kathryn and I had a fun evening out campaigning around Aberdeen Avenue 💚 We spoke to lots of people that were sick and tired of Labour letting them down…

Cameron Holloway, the Labour leader of Cambridge City Council, is planning on standing in Petersfield this May, running from Newnham, where he is sure to lose to the Greens. Let’s stop this plan and put the council under new management 💚 Earlier this week, I was there myself!

I was in town yesterday to argue against the redevelopment of the Guildhall. I’m not particularly surprised that the application was nodded through with so little scrutiny given the fact that councillors were voting on their own workspace 🙄🙄🙄

In today’s Cambridge Independent, Alex and I write about how the city council’s Labour leadership would rather waste £52 million fixing up their own offices than spend that money trying to tackle homelessness 🏠 The Greens put forward a clever plan in our recent budget amendment!

I unwound yesterday with a lovely visit to the Gog Magog Hills, where I got to look out onto the whole of Cambridge! It was very beautiful 💚 At the next general election, we can rescue it from the control of Labour, who are running the city that I love into the ground 🗳️

Yesterday, @zackpolanski.bsky.social was in Cambridge, where he welcomed Cllr Ingrid Flaubert to the Greens 💚 I am ecstatic that she has chosen to join our team; I have always felt supported by Ingrid since I joined the council in 2023 as she has consistently been a strong ally ✊

The @cambsgreenparty.bsky.social have been preparing for our biggest EVER event, which is being held later today ✊ I’m very excited - it’s definitely going to be a day to remember 💚

Cambridge City Council’s meeting on how to respond to our Labour government’s proposal to establish a Greater Cambridge Development Corporation was a kangaroo court 🦘 We need to put power back into the hands of local residents - a referendum must be held 🗳️

A little while back, Kathryn and I cleared out some old stuff from Naomi’s shed in preparation for the upcoming local elections 🗳️ I found some of my leaflets from 2023, which got me nostalgic - I’ve grown so much over the last few years! I’m excited for what I’ll do next ☺️

Did you know that if you’re a student you can register to vote in local elections where you’re living while at university AND at home? 🤯 This afternoon, the Cambridge Young Greens are out helping young people get registered to vote 🗳️
