I have worked with super red Padauk plenty, so this time I chose the palest, orangiest board for a change. Paid off! The grain is fantastic, almost more like Bolivian Rosewood. This will look so nice finished (maybe waxed) and polished.

Flute update: Didn't get much time because it was a busy work week, but I did get some holes carved. The sound-hole needs work (too airy! But that's also because I don't know how to play a flute 😂 Several learning curves at once, here!) But it's making sounds, which is pretty cool. #woodworking
