First FULL week of supply work and a nasty cold has decided to try and kill me. Not ideal, but I’ve called in sick (hopefully just for today) so that I can recuperate, then work the remaining three days. Also, ugh.

I’m 37, live on my own, have done for years now. But still, my Mum buys me an advent calendar every year. Not complaining though!

Woke up to a sore throat, but feeling so happy and Christmassy (mainly thanks to the job offer!). I really want to watch Muppets Christmas Carol, but I’m telling myself not to, as I’ll be seeing it in concert in two weeks time! Very excited!

Interview went well. One question that I ask was if I was successful, is there anything I need to research/do to prepare for the role? And they said, based on my experience, there isn’t much, which sounds good in my favour! Should hear back later today! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ohhhhh how I want the Batman Arkham series on Steam as they are on a ridiculous sale, but I don’t want to risk frivolous spending until I have a steady income!

Todays supply job got cancelled, but I’m going to treat it as a positive. More time to prep for Fridays interview!

Didn’t get the job, sadly. I’m gutted, as the company and the role seemed amazing. But I’m trying to be positive and remember that I have another interview on Friday

Also another ‘good news’ update (that’s not about me this time!). The food bank that I used to use is thriving! Has just linked up with more supermarkets/businesses, which means more food and variety for those who are struggling! I’m so proud of their achievement!

My supply job is beginning to pick up speed! Worked the lunch cover today, afternoon shifts tomorrow and Wednesday and working a full day on Thursday! No news yet about last weeks interview, but there’s still tomorrow. Plus another interview this Friday! Things are beginning to turn around for me!

Had a job interview with a company that helps those with major setbacks find and keep long-term work. One of the businesses they run are a biscuit company and I got to take a free pack home! Never left the interview with a gift before!

Just to clarify, as someone questioned my trip yesterday. Not one £1 from your donations was spent to fund the trip. My friend paid for the travel to get there and the exhibition ticket. The plush I paid for with my birthday money. As I have said before, the dono’s are going on my bills.
