Emails that begin with “With all due respect….” rub me the wrong way from the start. Is it just me? It always feels to me like they mean exactly the opposite of that.

Today I heard about an interesting book on a public radio station show, then when I got home I went to the website for my local public library and requested it. I'll have it tomorrow for free. This is precious. We must protect this.

This book is completely delightful. And I adored Every Monday Mabel too. Awan + picture book format = perfection.

It IS more fun watching #Marchmadness basketball when your bracket is in first place in the family pool. (Posting this while I can, as I think I seriously underestimated Michigan.)

I got my 4 adult kids and their partners to join me in a bracket pool for March Madness and it is one of the most fun things I’ve done!

It’s #caturday and my grand-cat is the cutest cat.

My biggest uphill battle with patron parents is getting them to understand WHY their kids often don’t enjoy the books from their childhood 30 years ago (which were sometimes THEIR parents favorites from 30 years before that.)

We still have 6 feet of snow on the ground, so it’s not time for us to plant yet, but I can still enjoy #kidlitartpostcard day!
