Yoga, sound bath and wellness circle on the top of Werneth Low Country Park was bliss this evening. Welcoming in the new moon and finding my grounded place amongst the wind, trees and sky. Best bit? The vibrations of a sound bowl beaten, resting on my stomach while resting in savasana.

Adventure: I ventured from Malham, along the river there and up the cove, then back to the pub despite having a double ear infection last week…

Getting out in the sun today for a 6km local walk looping Debdale Park and including the Fallowfield loop. Took a flask of tea and some biscuits wrapped in tin foil. Better than the previously planned drive and £10 car park charge at a NT property, and didn’t have to buy a coffee in a take-out cup.

‼️ Slipper update: the missing slipper was found safety tucked in a drawer under my bed a few days later. (For everyone awaiting part two of this drama). I have no idea how the slipper got there. My tosies are happy again now though and toasty. #slippers

🌳 Connected with #nature this morning at an adult forest school event. We scavenged items from the wood to make wands for wishes both for ourselves & for others, toasted marshmallows, sipped tea plus created natural cyanotypes. It’s was #mindful and #calming. #forestschool #forestbathing

🥬🪡 Have struggled to get time for sewing due to a busy seed sowing season. I’ve hand stitched my own grow bags for the trofs! Used old tarpaulin, a metal straw and lighter to melt holes in the base for drainage. They’ll be stapled inside and filled with compost, then veggies! #gardening #diy

👓 Went for my two year opticians check up today. I mentioned I had been wearing my glasses less (I have them for distance). Turns out my eyes have reversed and improved. One eye by three points going from -1.75 to -50. Crazy days! I didn’t know this could happen.

DILEMMA: one of my slippers has gone missing. It’s been lost for over a week in the house. And as a woman of a certain age this has made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. How does one navigate a tiled floor slipper-less, or the walk to the bin outside? Honestly my feet have noticed, and aren’t happy!

🌱 Foraged goods - wild garlic, elf cup mushrooms - never eaten these before but apparently they go well with the garlic. Cleavers and raspberry leaf which I’ll dry and make a tea with. ‘Dani in the wild’ is a great YouTuber if you’re looking for tips on #foraging

🧑‍🎨 Spent most of my day off work painting these two planters in a colour requested by my partner- green. Primer then two top coats. Will grow mushrooms in one and the other salad leaves to go by our shed. Feel satisfied!

🌱 It’s been a journey. But we finally have one cucumber seedling grown from seed! Had better success soaking the seeds first to see which ones sunk. Then put these in the dark to germinate in a damp paper towel before sowing in compost. They struggled this year poking out their shells. #seeds

🌱 I’d never heard of plastic-free plug trays. I saw a YouTuber advertise them so I’m mentioning here incase it helps someone. Fairly traded rubber plug trays! Decent size! Seedlings pop out! Can be reused! I’ve had plastic types that have split and had to be thrown away. #sustainable #gardening
