Pics from today’s hike and a quick trip to Florissant to grab our park pass.

We did a new trail today and did a nice 4-mile hike. Not too many pictures but I did see some cool stuff! Lots of dogs and lots of deer!

So next year I reeeeeeeeally want to make a magpie inspired renfaire outfit. I’m going to have to do some research and see how others have done similar. I’m not talking fursuit or anything (sorry y’all, I’m not a furry!) but more of garb with the color and that iridescent flair.

It rained yesterday so the animals were still hiding, but the lichen sure didn’t care! Did see a huge swarm of magpies at the grocery store and then hit up REI for some new socks and a sun hat!

Went on our usual hiking route today but ended up getting a little lost, which was fine after a mile of uphill battles. Got some new hiking boots and Nick got a hydration pack!

Hike Day 2! Went to Nick’s favorite park and tried a different trail. No animals today ;;, but some really cool stick structures out there someone is building.

It was so nice today that the animals all came out during and after our hike.

Tuesday we went to get Nick’s hair cut at the barber and I couldn’t help snagging some shots. I’d be completely happy if the iPhone didn’t have AI ‘help’ when it can’t figure out a shape, but it’s all I’ve got right now.

The weather was a little spoopy today but it was such a nice hike. Deer scared the crap out of us and I missed getting shots of a black squirrel with the zoomies.

Nick and I had a micro adventure today going to pick up some stuff at a Microcenter. The weather was super bipolar and couldn’t decide if it wanted to rain or burn my skin off. Bonus elk that I almost missed a shot of!

Some friends were encouraging me to write again so, what did I write? Fourth Wing self insert OC fodder, lmao... I couldn't think of a damned thing to write and I actually did enjoy just teasing with new characters. I doubt I'll be releasing that to the public though.
